Help Me Out, All!

Hopefully, I might have drawn a few followers from the neighboring realms of Facebook and MySpace to see me attempt to "take it live."

I love litigation -- it's the closest I've ever gotten to contact sports. The competition, the problem solving, the ultimate satisfaction that comes with winning a good case (and settling a bad one). If I really didn't like it, I would have stopped doing this in my first year (and with the boss I had back then, there was reason to stop).

But lately I've started to get back in touch with my "real" purpose in life: to motivate men and boys suffering from low self esteem. After all, I was one of them -- I didn't go to school for psychology of social work, but us guys with low self-esteem just "know" how it is.

I've lately become entranced with the notion that it is possible, however unlikely, to "blog" for a living. How about that, leave more time for my fiancee, time to tie the knot and start a family, and actually live life with a low amount of stress.

For now, I still need to "keep my day job," but it is possible for attorneys to either go out on their own, or even work as those despised "per-diem" attorneys we've all seen in Brooklyn and the Bronx, who charge $100 to appear for another firm's case, and then go home as soon as Court is over. Or maybe even charge for legal research without having to make billable hours in an office. It can be done, this is true. However, something tells me that the money there ebbs and flows, and there is no steady paycheck, kinda like the way my fiancee's business works.

Either way you slice it, your friend here needs (a) more money; (b) more time; (c) more satisfiaction, you name it! But before I become the patron saint of the confidence-lacking, I must prove that I'm not afraid to ask for a little advice. So how 'bout it?

Don't be afraid to shoot a comment my way.
